Our new sci-fi film, NOSTOS 12, took home three awards at Uni-Fest in Atlanta, Georgia. NOSTOS 12 was nominated for Best Picture, Best Performance for Rebecka Moreno, Best Production Design, and Best Sound Design. The film was awarded Best Performance, Best Production Design, and Best Sound Design. The screening and awards took place the night of March 31st at the Cinefest Film Theatre at Georgia State University.
NOSTOS 12 is the fifth film from Kyanite Pictures to screen at a film festival. It is the second to win Best Production Design following SPECTRUM's Best Production Design win in 2015. Rebecka Moreno is the first actress in a Kyanite film to win an award for her performance, and she is joined by J Manning Smith and Joey Simon, who won awards for performance for Point Seven-Three in 2017 and Star of the Sea in 2018 respectively. This is the first Kyanite film to win an award for Sound Design.
NOSTOS 12 was released on YouTube on March 28th, 2019, three days before it screened at Uni-Fest. The film stars award-winner Rebecka Moreno, Franchette O'Neal, and Will Besh. It was made in association with Woods and Whales Productions.
