"Monty" Teaser Trailer Released

The teaser trailer for Monty has been released! Monty stars Joey Simon, Isabel Dillard, and John Parcels, and it is the tenth short film by Kyanite Pictures. Watch the teaser trailer below!

The trailer is the very first look at the film and gives just a glimpse of the main characters. The titular character Monty is played by Joey Simon, who has recently appeared on shows like The Walking Dead and Homicide Hunter. This is his third leading role in a Kyanite film, following his roles in A Year and a Day and Star of the Sea (he won an acting award for his performance in the latter). His co-stars, Isabel Nola Dillard and John Parcels, are also veterans of Kyanite films, both appearing in A Year and a Day. Other characters appear in the film as well, but they wait in the wings in this teaser. Look out for more information about them soon!

This is the first short film to feature the music of The Eric Mintel Quartet. Acclaimed pianist and composer Eric Mintel provides original character themes for Monty as well as other popular tracks from The Eric Mintel Quartet's discography. This will be the first Kyanite film to feature a jazz score!

Monty was initially developed at the same time as our sixth film, Point Seven-Three, in 2017. Even though a draft of the script was written (with much of the same dialogue that is currently in the film), the film was delayed until late 2018 when pre-production on Monty began at the same time as our ninth film, NOSTOS 12. Monty is our tenth film and the third to be funded by Indiegogo backers.
