"Monty" Released, Now Streaming

Monty stars award-winning actor Joe Solana Simon, Isabel Nola Dillard, John Parcels, Claire Kennedy, Peyton Rowe, and Michael Regonald Houston and is produced by Sherrie Taggart, Pete Mendez, Alex Smith, David Besh, and Connor Rentz. The soundtrack and original themes were composed by accomplished musician Eric Mintel and performed by the Eric Mintel Quartet. The film's poster was illustrated by Bethany Rentz. David Besh is the film's director of photography, and it was written, directed, and edited by Connor Rentz.

This is the tenth film to be released by Kyanite Pictures and the sixth to be officially selected for a film festival. Earlier this week, Monty screened at the 11th International Inter-University Short Film Festival in Bangladesh, the first Kyanite film to screen outside of the United States.

Monty was announced in October 2018 alongside an Indiegogo campaign. Principal photography began in February 2019.

This is the third Kyanite film to star Joe Solana Simon (or as we call him, Joey), who previously appeared in A Year and a Day and Star of the Sea, the latter in which he won a best performance award. He has also appeared in other productions and shows such as The Walking Dead and Homicide Hunter. In this film, he is joined by two of his co-stars from A Year and a Day: John Parcels and Isabel Nola Dillard.
